Blake Griffin finished with 24 points and added 16 rebounds, his 19th double-double of the season, to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a blowout victory over the Denver Nuggets, 112-91. Los Angeles (19-9) has now won four consecutive games.
Griffin shot 8-17 from the field and 8-10 from the free throw line. Chris Paul contributed 10 points and 11 assists for Los Angeles as well. Despite the loss, Wilson Chandler scored 19 points for Denver on 8-15 shooting, including 2-8 from behind the arc. Timofey Mozgov added 15 points and 9 rebounds and Ty Lawson finished with 13 points and 6 assists.
In addition to 20.0% from 3-point range, the Nuggets tallied an eFG% of just 38.6%. They are 1-4 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Clippers, conversely, are 6-1 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
Denver (14-12) has now lost three consecutive games.
Coming up next, the Clippers square off with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are 13-14 on the year. The Nuggets meet the Golden State Warriors, currently 14-13 this season. The Clippers won their last two meetings with Minnesota.
