Other key players for Los Angeles included Darren Collison with 19 points and 5 assists, Chris Paul with 14 points and 9 assists, and DeAndre Jordan with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Despite the loss, Dwight Howard put up 23 points for Houston on 9-12 shooting from the field and 5-9 from the free throw line. He also recorded 11 rebounds. James Harden chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds.
The Rockets had 19 assists against 20 turnovers for a ratio of .95. This year, they are 7-7 when having more turnovers than assists in a game. Conversely, the Clippers are undefeated (6-0) when holding their opponents below an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.00.
Houston (39-19) has now dropped three straight contests to Los Angeles.
Coming up, the Clippers take on the New Orleans Pelicans, who are 23-34 on the season. The Rockets match up with the Detroit Pistons, currently sitting at 23-35 this year. The Clippers won their last two meetings with New Orleans. The Rockets are 1-0 versus Detroit this season.
