Blake Griffin, Chris Paul spark Clippers past Nuggets

Chris Paul registered his 39th double-double this season, scoring 21 points and registering 10 assists, to help the Los Angeles Clippers take down the Denver Nuggets, 117-105. The Clippers were on fire in this game, finishing 44-83 (53.0%). Los Angeles (57-24) has now won seven of their last 10 games.

Paul went 8-10 (3-5 from three-point range) in an efficient offensive performance. Other top performers for Los Angeles were Blake Griffin with 24 points and five rebounds, and DeAndre Jordan with 13 points and 16 rebounds. On 7-12 shooting from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line, Kenneth Faried scored 21 points for Denver in the loss. Timofey Mozgov contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds and Randy Foye finished with 11 points and seven assists.

The Clippers recorded a FTA rate of 36.1 to go alongside their 58.4% eFG%. They are undefeated (13-0) on the season when eclipsing 35.0 and 55% in those respective offensive factors. The Nuggets, however, are winless (0-4) when allowing opponents to reach those thresholds.

This loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Denver, dropping them to 36-45 on the year.

Coming up, the Clippers play the Portland Trail Blazers, who are 53-28 on the season. The Nuggets meet the Golden State Warriors, currently sitting at 50-31 this year. The Clippers are 1-1 versus Portland this season. The Nuggets have won their last two meetings with Golden State.
