Blake Griffin scored 26 points and added 8 rebounds, while Chris Paul added 25 points and 13 assists to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, 94-83. Los Angeles (14-8) gets one in the win column after losing to Cleveland on Saturday.
Griffin shot 9-14, in a good performance. DeAndre Jordan also chipped in for Los Angeles, finishing with 11 points and 21 rebounds. Evan Turner had another big game for Philadelphia in the loss, putting up 25 points on 11-23 shooting. He also tallied 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Thaddeus Young contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds.
In addition to 14.3% from 3-point range, the 76ers tallied an eFG% of just 37.5%. They are winless (0-6) on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Clippers, conversely, are 5-1 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
Philadelphia (7-15) has now dropped their last three straight contests.
Coming up next, the Clippers take on the Boston Celtics, who are 10-12 on the year. The 76ers match up against the Minnesota Timberwolves, currently 9-11 this season.
