The Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks exchanged minor leaguers before the NHL trade deadline on Wednesday when the Bruins sent Maxime Sauve to the Blackhawks for Rob Flick.
Sauve has limited NHL experience, getting into one game last year with the Bruins. With Providence in the American Hockey League this season, the 23-year-old center 10 goals and 13 assists in 23 games.
Flick also is playing in the AHL this season, totaling five points and 97 penalty minutes in 51 games for Rockford. The 22-year-old center has not yet played in an NHL game.
