Bisping Isn't Impressed with Weidman or Boetsch, Wants Belfort Next: Fan Reaction

"Ultimate Fighter" season three winner, Michael Bisping, is arguably a fight away from earning a shot at the UFC's middleweight title.

Given the current middleweight picture, a fight against the winner of the UFC 155 matchup between Chris Weidman and Tim Boetsch seems like the most logical #1 contender bout for the promotion to make, but Bisping isn't impressed with either man.

Bisping seems intrigued with rumors that his next fight might be against Vitor Belfort, and the Brit wouldn't mind squaring up against the former light-heavyweight champion.

"I've heard the rumor myself, but that's all I've heard," Bisping said during a conversation with ESPN. "If the fight was to happen, I'd definitely be up for it. I've got a lot of respect for Vitor, he's a tough fighter. I want to fight for the title and have the best fights possible -- and Vitor would definitely be one of them."

A far as Bisping is concerned, a fight against the winner of the Weidman vs. Boetsch matchup wouldn't be very competitive.

"I match up really well with both of them," Bisping continued. "Weidman's stand-up is very very poor; it's not good at all. He's a very good wrestler, very good grappler, but I do well against those guys. I'd get back to my feet and knock him out. … Boetsch I don't particularly rank at all. He's just a tough bastard! I'd have my way with him all day."

Given the fact Weidman and Boetsch will fight on Dec. 29, Bisping would probably have to wait until March or April of 2013 to fight the victor, which means around six months of inactivity for the Brit -- who last fought on Sept. 22.

Bisping doesn't want to wait around for anyone.

"I want to fight somebody else in the mean time," Bisping added. "I'll take my chance. If I win, great. If I lose, I don't deserve a title shot anyway. I want to fight in January or February. I'd like to fight three or four times a year."
