Running back Johnny White was re-signed by the Bills, who are without Fred Jackson (knee) indefinitely.
Wide receiver David Nelson was also placed on injured reserve with the knee injury he suffered against the Jets on Sunday.
White was a fifth-round pick out of North Carolina in 2011 who rushed for 38 yards on 12 carries in 12 games as a rookie. He was released by the Bills on Aug. 31, but was brought back to provide depth behind C.J. Spiller until Jackson returns, likely in 4-6 weeks.
