The Bills announced Thursday that they have re-signed LB Kirk Morrison to the 53-man roster. The team also placed CB Leodis McKelvin on injured reserve.
Morrison returns to Buffalo after being released by the team on Dec. 3. The 6-2, 245-pound San Diego State product has served mostly as a special-teams performer and backup linebacker for the Bills.
McKelvin, who has been bothered by a groin injury in recent weeks, leads the NFL with 18.7 yards per return on 23 returns. He has two punt-return touchdowns in 2012.
McKelvin, who will be an unrestricted free agent after the season, had started to play more on defense in recent weeks, starting four of the previous five contests before being inactive in Week 15. He finished with 21 tackles, three passes defensed and an interception in ’12.
