Bills promote Asper, release Brown in line shakeup

Offensive lineman Mark Asper was promoted from the Buffalo Bills' practice squad, with Colin Brown being released.

Offensive lineman Bryant Browning was signed to the practice squad to take Asper's place, with linebacker Jacquies Smith also signed. Defensive end Jamie Blatnick was released from the practice squad.

Asper was a sixth-round pick by Buffalo in 2012 who spent time as a rookie on the active rosters of Jacksonville and Minnesota. He re-joined the Bills' practice squad Sept. 1.
