Bills' 'D' in need of playmaking linebacker

The Bills placed OT Chris Hairston on injured reserve and signed OT Chris Scott to the 53-man roster.

Hairston played in 12 games with eight starts this season. The second-year pro filled in at left tackle for Cordy Glenn earlier in the season, and had been starting at right tackle for Erik Pears.

Scott, a fifth-round pick by the Steelers in 2010, played in two games for Pittsburgh in 2011. He joins the Bills from the Titans’ practice squad.

Sam Young is expected to start at right tackle for the Bills.
