Buzzing on Yahoo Sports:

Bills dump Ryan Fitzpatrick

National Football Post

The Buffalo Bills have seen better days. Maybe not all that recently (hell, the team hasn’t posted a winning season since 2004), but there was a time when this franchise could hold its head up high.

That era must feel like a distant memory in the wake of a disastrous Tuesday afternoon for the Buffalo front office. Hours after a phone conversation leaked in which Bills general manager Buddy Nix ripped quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik, the Bills decided to cut bait all together and send Fitzpatrick packing.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Bills have released Fitzpatrick. The move will save $450,000 against the cap, but counts as $10 million in dead money. In addition, Buffalo avoids paying Fitzpatrick a $3 million roster bonus that was due on March 13.

The decision to part ways comes less than two years after the franchise gave Fitzpatrick a six-year, $59 million contract extension. Since the ink dried on that deal, the Bills have gone 8-18 with Fitzpatrick throwing 36 touchdown passes and 33 interceptions.

So once again, the Buffalo Bills are in the market for a quarterback.
