Bills clear Manuel to practice

The Buffalo Bills on Monday cleared injured quarterback EJ Manuel to practice.

Manuel has been out the past month with a knee injury and may not be ready to play for another couple of weeks.

Manuel, the Bills' first-round draft pick earlier this year, was limited to individual workouts last week.

Buffalo plays the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Since Manuel got hurt, the Bills have started Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel at quarterback and recently signed Matt Flynn. Tuel started Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He threw for 229 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

Prior to that, Lewis started three games until he was sidelined with a rib injury.
