Bills' 'D' in need of playmaking linebacker

The Bills signed PK Dave Rayner on Tuesday, his agent announced on Twitter.

Rayner was one of four kickers to work out with Buffalo on Tuesday, along with Rhys Lloyd, Shayne Graham and Brandon Coutu, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Rayner will replace Rian Lindell who suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Jets. He is reportedly expected to be out 4-6 weeks.

Rayner played in one game for the Raiders this season. In eight games with the Lions last season, Rayner converted 13-of-16 field goal attempts and was 16-of-16 on extra points.
