Reported Real Madrid target Lucas Biglia has announced that his time with Anderlecht is coming to an end and that his dream is to now move to Spain.
The Argentina international is under contract with his Belgian employer until 2015 but, amid mounting speculation of a summer switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, he has now declared his intention to move on.
"My cycle in Anderlecht is ending," the defensive midfielder told A Bola. "My dream is to play in Spain.
"This is one of the best leagues in the world and I'm attracted to the country, given I'm already fluent in the language."
Biglia only strengthened the belief that he is now destined for the Spanish capital by revealing his admiration for one of Los Blancos' star players.
"I like Xabi Alonso," the 26-year-old admitted. "For me, he is what gives balance to Real Madrid and Spain. He is a role model."
Biglia, who has been capped six times by his country, joined Anderlecht from Independiente in 2006.
