DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Isidore Jackson rushed for a season-high 182 yards and a touchdown, leading Bethune-Cookman to a commanding 38-14 victory over North Carolina Central on Saturday.
Jackson became the all-time leading rusher in school history as the Wildcats (8-1, 5-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won their 18th consecutive conference game.
The Wildcats held a 17-0 lead at halftime, highlighted by a 31-yard touchdown pass from Quentin Williams to Eddie Poole. Poole had three receptions for 56 yards, setting a school record by catching at least one pass in 44 consecutive games.
Bethune-Cookman added three second-half rushing touchdowns while the defense stifled the Eagles throughout the game, logging two interceptions and limiting North Carolina Central (4-5, 2-3) to 137 yards of total offense.
Thomas Dixon returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to put the Eagles on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.
