Best XI: Week 25

This is probably the most interesting Best XI we’ve had this season. First of all, it only cost £ 82.53M, the cheapest we’ve seen since week 9. Second of all, it featured a lot of players from poor teams. An incredible seven of the eleven players this week came from team in the bottom five of Premier League. QPR had three representatives, Burnley had two, and Leicester City and Hull City had one each. Take a look below to see who made it.

Best XI

Points

This week was the second week in a row where we’ve had a very low scoring Best XI. Only 212 points this week.

Cost

This week the BEST XI cost £ 82.53M*. The new price of our Best XI (if you were to try to create this team now after the price changes) is £ 114.55M. That’s a 38.8% increase in price.

*Keep in mind the cost does NOT include any substitutes and is thus 96M instead of 100M, which assumes one might have four £ 1M substitutes.

MVP

This week MVP was the extremely unlikely Chris Smalling. Smalling started out on the bench but came on to replace the injured Jones on the sixth minute mark and scored with his first touch! He later added a second goal to make it a brace and end up as the highest fantasy scorer of the matchweek.
