Best XI: Week 16

This week featured a lot of great football once again and Neal went over all the big story lines in his Monday Morning Manager. Let’s get to the Best XI.

Best XI

Points

A fairly average score of 221 points this week but it’s worth noting we had a ton of guys who didn’t make it due to a high price. The prices of fantasy worthy players keep rising and more and more players get left out of the Best XI due to that. It’s also another reason we are seeing a slight decline in the top score.

Cost

This week the BEST XI cost £ 94.53M*. The new price of our Best XI (if you were to try to create this team now after the price changes) is £ 123.23M. That’s a 31.4% increase in price.

*Keep in mind the cost does NOT include any substitutes and is thus 96M instead of 100M.

MVP

This week’s MVP was a tie between Robin van Persie and Santi Cazorla. RvP made the Best XI in week 13, 15, and now here in 16 and he has been the MVP two weeks in a row. He is absolutely on fire right now and should be in your lineups every week. Use him with confidence. Cazorla is also a great option while Aaron Ramsey remains out.

Repeat Offenders

The new addition here is Robin van Persie who we just discussed in the previous section. Another note is that frontrunner Kieran Trippier was very close to being in the Best XI and remains a fantastic option.
