Benitez not fazed by Chelsea link with Guardiola
Rafael Benitez says he is aware of talk linking former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola with Chelsea next summer, but he is unconcerned over the speculation that his time at Stamford Bridge may be short-lived.

Having seen Roberto Di Matteo sacked despite winning the much-coveted Champions' League crown in May, Benitez knows there is a lot expected of him, but he believes Guardiola would tell him if he plans to take his job.

"I have good relations with Pep so any time I call him, I say, 'How are you doing?'" Benitez told Sky Sports. "I know he is enjoying life in New York, now, with his family."

Benitez does not expect such an open gesture from his current employers, but he is concentrating fully on bringing silverware to Stamford Bridge in any case.

"I don't think that they will let me know. But I don't have any problem. I know the situation. I have come to create a competitive team and to win trophies," Benitez said. "It might be that you can win three trophies, which would be difficult for anyone. The worst case scenario, if you win three trophies and then they would say, 'No, we give the job to another one', I will be so pleased with three trophies."
