Cincinnati Bengals Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Green left Thursday's practice with a knee injury.
Coach Marvin Lewis said he thought Green would be fine, but Green was sent for further medical evaluation.
Green was injured tracking a long pass thrown by quarterback Andy Dalton. He was covered by cornerback Terence Newman, but went to the ground on a ball thrown out of bounds and didn't pop back up.
In a side interview with former Bengals defensive back Artrell Hawkins, Green reportedly said he likely hyperextended his left knee. Green had the same injury as a rookie and needed two weeks to recover.
Green led the Bengals with 97 receptions for 1,350 yards and 11 touchdowns.
