Bengals sign veteran LB Boley

The Cincinnati Bengals signed veteran free agent linebacker Michael Boley on Tuesday to add depth to their roster.

Boley (6-3, 230) is a ninth-year NFL player. He played four seasons (2008-12) for the New York Giants after spending four years (2005-08) with the Atlanta Falcons. He has 121 career NFL games played, with 102 starts, and he has played and started five postseason games.

Boley played 16 games for the Giants last season, with 11 starts, and finished fourth on the team in tackles (84) while leading the team in tackles-for-loss (14). He was third on the team in interceptions (three) and had two fumble recoveries. He was released by the Giants on Feb. 5.

The Bengals also waived cornerback Curtis Marsh, a third-year player from Utah State. Marsh signed with Cincinnati as a free agent on Sept. 18 and played in the last two games (no statistics).
