Bengals sign DT Randall

Defensive tackle Kheeston Randall signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The second-year player out of Texas takes the roster spot of Geno Atkins, the All-Pro who was placed on injured reserve Monday with a season-ending knee injury.

The Bengals initially reached out to Jay Ratliff, who signed with Chicago. Cincinnati then signed Christo Bilukidi on Monday, only to have the contract later voided because Bilukidi, who is from Canada, does not have the proper documentation to work in the United States at this time.

Randall was a seventh-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2012, and played in 12 games posting eight tackles as a rookie. Randall was with Miami during the preseason this year, but was waived Aug. 31.
