Bengals cut DE Anderson

Defensive end Jamaal Anderson had his contract terminated by the Cincinnati Bengals.

The seventh-year player signed with the Bengals during the 2012 offseason, but suffered a season-ending torn quad in the second game of the regular season.

Anderson was a first-round pick of the Falcons in 2007, but never emerged into the pass-rushing threat Atlanta envisioned opposite John Abraham. He played for the Colts in 2011, registering 3.0 sacks and 24 tackles. He's considered a good run defender on the edge.
