Alejandro Bedoya probably hopes Jurgen Klinsmann has DVR. While the USA manager was reacting to the World Cup draw, the attacker scored the lone goal in Nantes' 1-0 defeat of Marseille.
He started and went 64 minutes in the victory, just three days after a man-of-the-match performance against Valenciennes in which he scored the opening goal of a 2-1 win.
Bedoya burst onto the national team picture with a successful Gold Cup. He assisted two goals in the Americans' 3-1 semifinal win against Honduras and was credited for the assist on the winning goal of the tournament final. He leveraged those performances into a starting role in the World Cup qualifier against Mexico andhas seen time in subsequent national team matches.
The Gold Cup also helped Bedoya secure the move to Nantes in the first place, as he joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Helsingborg in August. His tally Friday was his third league goal this season.
