Bears Suffer 31-15 Defeat Against Saints
The Bears were handled by the Saints, 31-15, at home.
Jay Cutler completed 17 of 31 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns and three picks. Drew Brees was more productive for the Saints, and finished 29 for 36 with 375 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Matt Forte ran for 78 yards on 16 carries and had two receptions for 21 yards. Alshon Jeffery was a leading receiver, hauling in four passes for 78 yards while adding a touchdown.
The Chicago defense struggled to defend the passing attack, but was able to slow down the run, giving up 375 yards passing and 83 rushing. They sacked Brees two times.
Saints tight end Josh Hill was impressive, racking up 15 receiving yards and two touchdowns. After Brees, he was the top performer for New Orleans. Tight end Jimmy Graham was also solid with 87 receiving yards.
The Bears are at home to take on the Lions (10-4) next week while the Saints will meet the Falcons (5-9), also at home.
