Bears promote Ozougwu, waive Grant

The Chicago Bears promoted defensive end Cheta Ozougwu from the practice squad, the team announced Saturday.

The move was made after starting defensive end Shea McClellin was listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens with a hamstring injury.

To make room for Ozougwu on the roster, the Bears released linebacker Larry Grant.

Ozougwu, 24, had three tackles in two games for the Bears last year. He was waived on Sept. 1 but signed to the practice squad three weeks later.
