Bears OT J’Marcus Webb was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Sunday evening.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Webb was pulled over for speeding in Pulaski County (Illinois) and police found less than 2.5 grams of marijuana. In addition to the drug possession charge, Webb was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
Webb has a court date on March 15. The Bears released the following statement: “We are aware of the arrest of J’Marcus Webb in Pulaski County, Illinois. We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the arrest.”
Webb, who is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, has started all 16 games the past two seasons.
