Chicago Bears offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb is facing drug charges after an arrest Sunday in Pulaski County, Ill.

Webb was arrested and and charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, KFVS-TV reported.

After paying $500 of a $5,000 bond, Webb was released on Monday, Pulaski County Sheriff Randy Kern said. A court date is scheduled for March.

"We are aware of the recent arrest of J'Marcus Webb in Pulaski County Illinois," the Bears said in a statement released Wednesday. "We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the arrest."

Webb started 16 games last season for the Bears at left tackle. He received national attention in September when quarterback Jay Cutler yelled at him and bumped him during a game against Green Bay.
