Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher will not play Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, according to ESPN.com.
Urlacher, who practiced on a limited basis Friday and was listed on the team's injury report as questionable, has been out since he strained a hamstring on Dec. 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Nick Roach will start his fourth straight game in place of Urlacher.
If the Bears clinch a playoff spot, Urlacher could be back next week. Chicago can get a wild-card berth if they win and the Green Bay Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings.
