Bears cut defensive end Cheta Ozougwu

The Chicago Bears have released defensive end Cheta Ozougwu.

A 6-foot-2, 255-pouder from Rice, Ozoughwu played in nine games over the past two seasons with four tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss and five special-teams tackles.

Last year, he played in the final seven games and had one tackle, one sack and one forced fumble.

He was picked by the Houston Texans in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft out of Rice.
