The Chicago Bears
agreed to a nine-year deal to continue their training camp at Olivet Nazarene University, the team announced Monday.
The Bears have trained at Olivet Nazarene University since 2002. The Bourbonnais, Ill., campus is about 55 miles from Chicago.
The team began using the newly-built Student Life Recreation Center on the campus to house their weight room, indoor walk-throughs and personnel meetings this season. University upgrades, practice field improvements and renovated locker room and training facilities are planned.
The Bears training camp attracts about 100,000 spectators over the three-week camp period.
Approximately 20,000 fans attended last Sunday's practice, the largest in the 12 years the team has trained at ONU.
