Baylor crushes Iowa, wins NIT

The Baylor Bears defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes Thursday night 74-54 to win the 2013 NIT Championship in New York.

Pierre Jackson, the tournament MVP was the spark plug that paced the Bears with 17 points and 10 assists -- his fourth straight double-double. Cory Jefferson led the Bears with 23 points while Isaiah Austin had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Bears (23-14).

"You can put his numbers up with any guard in the country," Baylor coach Scott Drew said of Jackson. "The bigger the stage, the bigger the moment, the bigger -- better -- he performs."

Iowa (25-13) was led by Mike Gesell's 13 points while Hawkeyes star Devyn Marble was held to six points.
