MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- Chris Bond scored 20 points, including the go-ahead dunk in the second half, to lift Ball State to an 87-83 win over Southeast Missouri State on Monday night.
Ball State took a 40-35 advantage into the break but the Redhawks (2-2) kept it close, briefly recapturing the lead in the second half on a Nino Johnson dunk, who drew the foul and made it a three-point play, 71-69 with four minutes remaining.
But the Cardinals pushed right back with a free throw by Berry, followed by Bond's go-ahead dunk with 3:51 left, retaking the lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Jarekious Bradley led Southeast Missouri State with 26 points and nine rebounds.
