Bale: I'm fit to start the Clasico
Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale says that he is fit enough to make his Clasico debut from the start against Barcelona on Saturday.

The Welshman came off the bench with 25 minutes to go to feature in Los Blancos' 2-1 victory over Juventus in the Champions League as he continues his recovery from injury.

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that the summer signing could feature from the first minute at Camp Nou but the 24-year-old remains in doubt as to whether he will be named in the starting lineup.

"I am not too sure if I'll start," he told Sky Sports. "I have had a few minutes this week and I have had a good week's training as well so I think I am fit enough and it is up to the coach now whether I play from the start or I am on the bench.

"I am sure it will be an amazing experience. The most important thing is we try to win the game and get the three points and I am looking forward to it just like everyone else is."

Bale lauded Cristiano Ronaldo for the help that he has been given from the former Manchester United forward since his arrival in Spain and is working hard to put his recent injury woes behind him with the help of his teammates.

"Ronaldo has been absolutely amazing with me," the former Tottenham man enthused. "He has given me a lot of confidence and I think he has been in the position before so he has been great with me. Everybody has been great in the changing room and I felt very settled straight away and I am just looking forward to kicking on now.

"I am enjoying everything about Real Madrid at the moment. Obviously it was a bit disappointing to get the injury but that is behind me now and I just want to kick on now, play as well as I can and do my best for the team."
