Champ Bailey said he is stillas good as ever, even as he gets close to the twilight of his career, turning 34 next week.
The Denver Broncos cornerback told CBS Sports that he might not be quite as fast, but still feels 22 or 23 and knows more about the game now than he did as a younger player.
"I am still as good as I was when I was 22 or 23," Bailey said. "I can't run as fast as I did then or jump as high. But I am smarter. I know how to take care of my body better. I know how to anticipate things a little better. I understand football a lot better, which keeps me on top of my game."
Bailey said he still works to fit in with younger teammates, and those players say they are learning from the cagey veteran, who will be entering his 14th NFL season this fall.
