Right winger PA Parenteau is taking his offensive talents to the Colorado Avalanche
Coming off a 67-point season with the New York Islanders
, Parenteau agreed to a four-year contract, the Avalanche announced Sunday. TSN reported the deal could be for $16 million.
In two seasons with the Islanders, the 29-year-old Parenteau had 38 goals and 82 assists.
"P.A. is a skilled winger who will instantly improve our offense," Avalanche general manager Greg Sherman said. "He's a dynamic player who will help our power play and complement our young centers."
Parenteau came to the Islanders from the New York Rangers
, where he had three goals and five assists in 22 games in 2009-10.
