The Atlanta defense had no answer for Harry Douglas, but it would prove not enough to avoid a tough defeat for the Falcons against the Cardinals, 27-13, in Glendale.
Matt Ryan was hampered by turnovers, taking away from a 34 for 61 and 301 yards and four picks, he also added one touchdown. Carson Palmer finished 13 for 18 with 172 yards passing, two touchdowns and one pick for the Cardinals.
Steven Jackson gained six yards on 11 carries. Douglas was a top performer, snagging 12 balls for 121 yards.
The Atlanta defense managed to slow down the passing attack, but could not slow down the running game, allowing 147 yards passing and 201 rushing. They sacked Palmer three times.
Cardinals running back Andre Ellington had a big game, putting up 154 yards rushing and one touchdown.
The Falcons travel to Charlotte next week to meet the Panthers (4-3) while the Cardinals are at home to take on the Texans (2-5).
