The Chicago Bulls couldn't get the ball to go down, finishing 28-81 (34.6%), including 5-18 (27.8%) from three-point range, as they fell in a close game to Orlando Magic, 83-82. This is only the second win for Orlando (8-17) in its last 10 games.
Arron Afflalo scored 23 points on 8-14 shooting from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line. Orlando also got solid performances from Glen Davis with 14 points and 11 rebounds, Jameer Nelson with 14 points and 7 assists, and Nikola Vucevic with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Luol Deng had another big game for Chicago despite the loss, putting up 26 points on 8-16 shooting from the field and 9-12 from the free throw line. He also tallied 8 rebounds. D.J. Augustin chipped in 14 points and 8 assists, Mike Dunleavy finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds, and Joakim Noah put up 13 points and 8 rebounds.
In addition to 27.8% from 3-point range, the Bulls tallied an eFG% of just 37.7%. They are 2-5 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Magic, conversely, are 4-1 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
Chicago (9-14) has now dropped consecutive games after losing to Toronto on Saturday.
