Aroldis Chapman: Move To Rotation Possible In 2013

Rotowire.com
Update: The Reds haven't made a decision on whether to keep Chapman at closer or deploy him in the team's rotation next season, the team's official website reports.

Recommendation: Chapman fully realized his considerable potential at closer last season, finishing with a 1.51 ERA and a 122:23 strikeout-to-walk ratio en route to saving 38 games. Despite his often staggering performances, Chapman would undoubtedly be more valuable to the Reds (and fantasy owners) if he can throw more innings while not completely compromising his otherworldly 15.3 K/9 rate. He already gave the Reds a small glimpse of what he can do as a starter by posting a 2.12 ERA over five games (four starts) during spring training last season. Continue to track what decision the Reds make on Chapman's role for 2013, as it would dramatically alter his fantasy value.
