JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) -- Brandon Peterson scored 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and Arkansas State cruised past Arkansas-Little Rock 86-62.
Peterson, who is one of six players ever for the Red Wolves to reach the 1,000-point plateau and have 800 career rebounds, was 10 of 11 from the free-throw line and had three steals to lead Arkansas State (16-9, 10-6 Sun Belt), which has won five of its last six games.
Arkansas State took a 45-29 lead at halftime and led by as many as 27 points in the second half. The Red Wolves scored 21 points off 18 Trojan turnovers.
Josh Hagins and John Gillon were the only two players in double figures scoring for Arkansas-Little Rock (15-11, 9-6) with 11 points apiece.
Arkansas State shot 51 percent from the field and was 26 of 32 from the free-throw line.
