Andre Ellington had a big day on the ground, leading the way to a solid win for the Cardinals against the Falcons, 27-13, at home.
Carson Palmer accounted for two scores against the Falcons on 13 of 18 passing for 172 yards and one pick. On the Falcons side, Matt Ryan went 34 for 61 with 301 yards passing, one touchdown and four picks.
Ellington was a focal point for the Cardinals, running at will on the Falcons for 154 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown. In the second quarter, he broke for an 80-yard sprint for a score. Larry Fitzgerald caught four passes for 48 yards with a touchdown.
The Arizona defense was the difference in the victory, coming away with four interceptions. They terrorized Ryan and the Falcons offensive line with four sacks.
Falcons wide receiver Harry Douglas had a productive game with 121 receiving yards. Wide receiver Drew Davis also had a good game with 77 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Cardinals host the Texans (2-5) next week while the Falcons head to Charlotte to face the Panthers (4-3).
