Larry Fitzgerald had a big day receiving, but it wasn't enough to avoid a difficult loss for the Cardinals against the 49ers, 32-20, at Candlestick Park.
Carson Palmer found the end zone two times on 25 of 41 passing for 298 yards and two picks. Colin Kaepernick finished 16 for 29 with 252 yards passing, two touchdowns, one pick and one fumble for the 49ers.
Andre Ellington was a bright spot for the Cardinals, running for 56 yards on seven carries with a score in addition to five receptions for 36 yards. Fitzgerald was a top performer, snagging six balls for 117 yards with a touchdown and one fumble.
The Arizona defense surrendered 149 yards rushing and 238 passing. They sacked Kaepernick two times.
49ers tight end Vernon Davis could not be contained, putting up 180 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Running back Frank Gore also put together a noteworthy performance with 101 rushing yards.
The Cardinals are at home to take on the Seahawks (5-1) next week while the 49ers travel to Nashville to meet the Titans (3-3).
