Arians checked into Indianapolis hospital

Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, who missed Sunday's playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens due to illness, was released from a Baltimore hospital, but stopped by on in Indianapolis after returning home.

After flying back to Indy on owner Jim Irsay's private jet, Arians, 60, spent Monday evening undegoing tests for what is believed to be an inner ear problem, says the Indianapolis Star.

Arians is said to be improving and could begin interviewing for vacant head coaching positions with the Eagles, Browns and Bears this weekend. He was the Colts interim coach this season while Chuck Pagano was away from the club for three months undergoing treatments for leukemia.
