NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the New Orleans Saints by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

    ---

    NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (26)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 18) - Close loss at Pack means wins coming soon. Congrats to Drew Brees for tying Johnny Unitas' 47 straight

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 16) - Drew Brees keeps setting records but he would rather have wins.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 23) - Comment currently unavailable

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 27) - Nice effort in GB but where is the defense... Just awful!

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 23) - Not even an impassioned speech from Drew Brees at a midweek team meeting was enough to get the Saints in the win column. Stunningly, the season's just about over after a month.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 26) - How soon before Saints fans start putting the bags back over their heads?

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 31) - The more the Saints lose, the more Sean Payton looks like this season's Coach of the Year.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 25) - The NFL's lowest-rated passer in the fourth quarter? You guessed it, Drew Brees.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 26) - They are down but not out! Drew Brees will keep this team together until they start winning.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 29) - Where is the defense?????

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 30) - Too little, too late has become the theme of New Orleans' season after a fourth consecutive loss by one score or less.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 31) - You might argue they deserve some credit for almost beating the Packers, but the Saints need to show they win before they get any credit.
