NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Oakland Raiders by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
OAKLAND RAIDERS (26)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 22) - Gutty win over Steelers reminiscent of old days.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 29) - Darren McFadden topping the 100-yard mark is a good sign.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 22) - Comment currently unavailable
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 26) - Huge win over Pittsburgh and a strong performance from Carson Palmer. Now can they keep it going?
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 27) - Would the real Raiders please stand up? Will it be the ones who looked like the worst team in football last week in Miami? Or the playoff contender against Pittsburgh with that dramatic fourth-quarter comeback?
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 23) - New coach Dennis Allen is having an impact. His Raiders have the second fewest penalties (14) in the AFC.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 28) - They'll go as far as Darren McFadden takes them.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 30) - The Raiders roster is paper thin but good enough at times to win a game. The team goes as McFadden goes and that was once in three games.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 23) - Typical of the 2012 NFL season thus far. The Raiders beat the Steelers. On any given Sunday.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 26) - The Raiders had more than the good karma of Marcus Allen lighting the Al Davis Flame before kickoff against Pittsburgh. Oakland's offense finally looked in sync in a 34-31 win.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 25) - Al Davis might not recognize his old team - especially with Marcus Allen a part of it.
