    AP Pro32 comments about Giants

NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the New York Giants by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

    ---

    NEW YORK GIANTS (11)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 10) - Almost good enough to win in Philly. To quote Maxwell Smart: "Missed it by that much."

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 9) - Hakeem Nicks' health is a concern. So are two losses already against NFC East rivals.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 11) - Comment currently unavailable

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 10) - Had plenty of chances in Philly but couldn't finish. When they have all their horses, they are tough to beat.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 10) - Tom Coughlin admits Giants got too fancy with the game on the line in the final minute. Now he's faced with his first 0-2 start in the NFC East.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 13) - Only Drew Brees has passed for more yards than Eli Manning's 1,320. Brees is 0-4, Manning 2-2.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 11) - That was a tough loss to Philadelphia, but look at Big Blue's schedule. It's brutal.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 11) - Philly has their number and this defense hasn't been making the key stops.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 11) - They should have won their last game, but they didn't and drop in the rankings from 6 to 11. They are a bounce back team and I expect them in the top 10 again soon.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 11) - At the end of the day, I still feel this will be the best team in football. They need to start playing like it though.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 14) - Two early division losses could haunt the Giants come playoff time.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 10) - Eli Manning can't always pull the rabbit out of his hat, but he can most of the time.
