NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Miami Dolphins by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
---
MIAMI DOLPHINS (30)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 28) - New school of fish.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 26) - Joe Philbin has hands full, grooming Ryan Tannehill, and dealing with veterans who want to win now.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 26) - Reggie Bush and running game will have to carry load if rookie QB Tannehill struggles early.
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 27) - Feel for Tannehill because Dolphin's WR situation is worse than Seattle's.
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 32) - Most entertaining part of season now over. Hope you enjoyed Hard Knocks. Now it's on to games with a rookie quarterback, weakest receiving corps in league and RB in Reggie Bush who will see eight-man fronts all year.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 32) - Ryan Tannehill will become first rookie to start at quarterback for Dolphins since John Beck in 2007.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 26) - Not enough playmakers on offense plus rookie quarterback equals another long season.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 30) - Poor little rich owner Stephen Ross ... he craves a winner desperately, but has no idea how to make it happen.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 31) - A rookie QB, a short list of decent receivers, a rookie right tackle struggling, an empty stadium spells trouble. Schedule does have four winnable games in first six, but if they don't get off fast, rest of season could be rough.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 28) - I like new coach Joe Philbin and QB Ryan Tannehill, but not this year.
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 32) - Hard Knocks actually made a bad franchise look even worse.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 32) - Trading Vontae Davis and starting Ryan Tannehill tells you about the direction of this team.
