NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

    ---

    TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (21)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 23) - Apparently not out to win congeniality contest.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 21) - Greg Schiano is not making friends, but his team is clearly making progress.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 14) - Comment currently unavailable

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 21) - Gave up over 600 yards of offense to Eli and the Giants.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 20) - Greg Schiano taking heat for going after Eli Manning on the final kneel-down, but the play shouldn't overshadow the fact that Tampa's defense allowed a franchise record 604 yards in a 41-34 loss.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 25) - The best team in the state of Florida - but that's not saying much.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 14) - Greg Schiano should have been taken to the woodshed. It's one thing to tell your players not to quit, but to bull rush a quarterback on a kneel down? Please. This just in, Greg: When your opponent is kneeling, THE GAME IS OVER!

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 20) - Coughlin to Schiano: This ain't Rutgers.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 13) - Greg Schiano has his team playing a physical tough brand of football and they don't look like they will beat themselves. Making the playoffs is another matter in that division.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 21) - Loss in a shootout against the defending champ Giants actually gives the Bucs confidence moving forward. They feel as a team they can play with anyone and won't go down easy.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 21) - If the Bucs' secondary wouldn't have disappeared in the second half of a 41-34 loss to the Giants, Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano wouldn't have needed to try his desperation strategy to force a fumble on the game's final kneel-down.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 20) - Get out the blackjacks and brass knuckles the next time an opponent tries the victory formation.
