NEW YORK (AP) -- Comments on the Buffalo Bills by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):
BUFFALO BILLS (27)
Chris Berman (ESPN, 28) - Historic yardage allowed in consecutive games.
Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 27) - Being embarrassed by 49ers showed how far Bills are from being contenders.
Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 26)
Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 26) - Huge disappointment! I expected better from everybody!
Bob Glauber (Newsday, 28) - Last week, Carlos Rogers suggested the Jets quit on the 49ers. This time, Bills coach Chan Gailey wondered the same thing about his own team after a beatdown loss in San Francisco.
Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 23) - With Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams up front, the Bills should be better than 30th against the run. Much better, in fact.
Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 21) - Another blowout loss, and people are beginning to grumble about Ryan Fitzpatrick. They should grumble about a defense that was supposed to improve. The numbers don't lie. The Bills have been outscored 90-17 over the last six quarters.
Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 27) - This defense has been beaten down to rubble in the past six quarters.
Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 27) - This team gave up 90 points in the last six quarters. What happened? They can't stop the run, get to the quarterback or score points. Buffalo is headed in the wrong direction.
John Lynch (Fox Sports, 29) - Utterly embarrassed against the 49ers!
Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 30) - The Bills have gotten outscored 83-24 and outgained 979 to 401 in the past six quarters.
Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 27) - They have given up 48 points in their last three losses. The line of quarterbacks who would like to play the Bills starts on the right.
