In the days of social media that we live in, for better or for worse that is up to the individual, very little goes unheard when spoken. After the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Antonio Brown thought it would be a good idea to Facebook Live head coach Mike Tomlin as he spoke postgame. This very well may turn out to backfire as Tomlin had some choice words regarding the New England Patriots.

Mike Tomlin is a good coach, contrary to what Terry Bradshaw may believe, but in the age that we live in with social media everywhere, Tomlin should have known better with his postgame comments.

According to Tomlin as he went off about their opponents this Sunday, the New England Patriots are, well, read for yourself.

“When you get to this point in the journey, not a lot needs to be said,” Tomlin said. “Let’s say very little moving forward. Let’s start our preparations. We spotted those (expletives) a day and a half. They played yesterday. Our game got moved to tonight. We gonna touch down at 4 o’clock in the (expletive) morning. So be it. We’ll be ready for that ass. But you ain’t gotta tell them we coming. Because some of us might not like the damn (unintelligible) and (expletive). It’s the chest pounding, right? Keep a low profile and let’s get ready to ball out again in a few days and be right back at it. Hey, man, that’s our story.”

Fair enough from Mike Tomlin if that is what he believes. Still, doesn’t it just seem dumb to motivate the New England Patriots when you have to go into Foxboro to face them Sunday? The Pats are a pretty motivated group and Mike Tomlin’s comments will just fuel the fire underneath their backsides.

It is what it is at this point. The New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.
