Another top-10 recruit commits to Kentucky

Kentucky and John Calipari picked up their third verbal commitment from a top-10 prospect in a week when James Young said he will attend Kentucky next year, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

Young, a 6-6 swingman from Rochester, Mich., is rated the nation's No. 5 prospect in the class of 2013 by ESPN. He is ranked No. 8 by Rivals.com and No. 9 by Scout.com.

He averaged 25.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game last year.

Young joins the Harrison twins, Andrew and Aaron, a pair of top-five recruits who committed to Kentucky last week.

Kentucky has had the nation's No. 1-ranked recruiting class in three of the past four years, and seems to be lining up the No. 1 class for 2013.
